Michael Bakari Jordan an American actor and producer appeared in all the three films series of Creed – boxer Donnie Creed in Creed (2015), Jordan reprised the role of Creed in Creed II (2018), and is set to star, and make his directorial debut, in Creed III (2022).
CREED III – You can’t run from your past –
Overview of the movie:
Adonis Creed has been thriving in both his career and family life after ruling the boxing world.
Damien Anderson, a childhood friend and amateur boxing prodigy, reappears after serving a long-term prison sentence. Now he is anxious to demonstrate that he deserves a chance to compete.
The face-off between the two ex-friends is more than just a brawl. Adonis must fight Damien, a fighter with nothing to lose, in order to settle the score, risking his future in the process.
In the first film of the sequel CREED, Former World Heavyweight Champion Rocky Balboa ( played by Sylvester Stallone ) serves as a trainer and mentor to Apollo Creed’s son, Adonis. These films are both spin-offs and sequels of the Rocky film series.
Creed is not necessarily responsible for the continued existence of the legend of Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone). Adonis now has his own reputation, which is seen in the third movie in the spin-off series, “Creed-III.”
Michael B. Jordan’s “Donnie” Creed, back on the screen but this time in the ring with Jonathan Majors, is the star of the just-released teaser from MGM and United Artists.
The boxing champion states, “I spent the last seven years of my life living out my wildest fantasies,” at the beginning of the trailer, proving that he is unquestionably on the top.
His wife Bianca (Tessa Thompson), who also happens to have her own triumphant journey in music, and daughter Amara (Mila Davis-Kent) are right by his side as he recalls flashes of himself on the cover of Forbes and winning fights.
Keenan Coogler and Zach Baylin created the screenplay from a story they co-authored with Ryan Coogler.
This is the ninth instalment in the Rocky franchise and the sequel to Creed II (2018)the film has a star cast – Michael Jordan, Tessa Thompson, Jonathan Majors, Wood Harris, Florian Munteanu, and Phylicia Rashad.
Sylvester Stallone no longer plays Rocky Balboa in this movie, however, he continues to produce under the Balboa Productions label.
United Artists Releasing has set March 3, 2023, as the release date for Creed III in the US.
